In this video I give you 4 rules to follow that will ensure you have a great video interview. Whether it's a Zoom interview or a Skype Interview, following these rules will hep you have a great video interview. 

There are 4 areas you need to address before you get on your video interview and there are 3 things you should not do on a video interview.

In order to ace your video interview you need to do the following:

1. Prepare for your video interview- prepare the same as you would for an in person interview. Get on your zoom interview or your skype interview 10-15 minutes before hand

2. Look good on your video interview- dress professionally. Have good lighting and smile

3. Remove distractions for your video interview- Be in a quiet location, put your pets away

4. Practice before your video interview - Run through a rehearsal with a friend and have them ask you questions as though you're on a zoom interview

There are 3 things that you should not do in a video interview

1. Don’t have notes or a script on another window or tab and jump back and forth trying to reference a script.

2. Do not stress out if there are technological issues. Call your recruiter and reschedule if need be.

3. Do not use a tablet or phone and move around with it. You need to be in one professional location.

Following these rules will help you feel confident going into your video interview.
