How To Be Confident In Job Interviews


In this video I am talking about interview confidence and sharing 8 tips to be confident in job interviews. 

By doing these things you will believe your more confident but the interviewer will also perceive that you are confident.

Being confident in the job interview will help you land the job offer. 

1. Know that you’re halfway there because you’re in the door! Trust in your ability. Believe in yourself and you'll interview with confidence.

2. Research the job, research the company come in prepared! Be able to articulate what the company does in a few sentences. Being able to align your skills with the job will make you look like a confident interviewer.

3. Build rapport - Find something you have in common with the interviewer and start having a conversation around that. Being able to talk about more than just the job will show that you are confident.

4. When answering questions, specifically behavioral questions make sure you answer appropriately and give the interviewer what they’re looking for. By doing this you will appear confident in your interview.

5. Take notes- this will make you look more confident in the interview, and show your interested and paying attention. 

6. Use visualization. Visualization is huge- focus on the outcome you want and not on the outcome you fear. Imagining a positive outcome will help you interview with confidence. 

7. Tell yourself your strengths (or have a friend/family member tell your strengths. hearing your strengths will help you believe them and feel more confident in your interview. 

8. Focus on positive body language. head nodding, and smiling. Doing this will help you interview confidently.
